why not go on line and check a few insurance sites such as progressive.com or esurance.com?

While I’m not a girl, and I have no idea has to how much it will cost you, I think it would be best for you to get on a “Family” plan like I did, as it will greatly lower the cost. Everyone kept telling me the insurance for my 99 Toyota 4-runner would be high because of my age,(21) and because I’m a “Male” it would be even higher, as we guys are seen as being way more “Reckless”. I just last week got on a family plan with Farmers, for which I will be paying $366 every 6 months. If I had gotten on a plan all on my own, the cost would of been over $500.

you need to be placed on your parents policy because you are only 16. this will help as you will get all the discounts they currently get. also, it will depend greatly on if you need full coverage or just liability and the liability limits you carry. if you get the vin# of the car you want or have and have your parents call their agent, they can tell you exactly what it would cost.

you should go to and if you enter your information into the form, they’ll give you a quote from different companies and you can compare the different prices for different services. it saves you a looooot of time. i ended up saving about 250 dollars a year.
